I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here!  Here, you'll find inspirational and encouraging stories of me and other broken people like me. We are all jars of clay who have been afflicted in every way, but not crushed...struck down by not destroyed.  Here, you do NOT have the right to remain silent, so as you read, grab your favorite snack and drink and leave a comment...share YOUR story. I can't wait to connect with you in this beautiful safe space.

welcome to my

journal!

#ethanandsacheltour pt. II| SUMMER MEMORIES| SACHEL SAMONE|LOVE & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Looking back on our time together, I can honestly say this trip was one of THE most memorable trips Ethan and I have shared together.

Outside of us getting engaged, we literally traveled to so many cities, spent time with so many amazing people and yes…made some incredible memories.

After leaving Charlotte, we continued north, stopping for a brief photo session, a New Edition concert, a winery tour and Ethan’s fraternity’s centennial celebration. I’ve been greek for almost seven years now, but honey let me tell you…I’ve never seen so much blue and white in my life!

As he’s mentioned before on the blog, Ethan is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and as a member who was fortunate enough to participate and witness her own sorority’s centennial celebration in 2008, I was so excited for him. There is nothing like being surrounded by your greek family and in a sense, it wasn’t just a celebration for his fraternity, it was also a bit of a coming home for him. With Ethan being so far away, he rarely gets a chance to hang out with his closest friends. So of course seeing him so excited to reunite with some of his college brothers made me so excited. There’s nothing like hearing him laugh and seeing him truly enjoy himself. They are a silly group when they all get together, but I loved hanging out with them and just taking it all in.

After the celebration ended and we spent more time with family and friends, we sat down to begin…wedding planning! You know to be perfectly honest, I STILL can’t believe we have a wedding to plan. Nevertheless, it’s all very exciting! Be sure to check back every Wednesday for “Wedding Wednesdays,” where Ethan and I will both be blogging about various topics and experiences we encounter on our journey to the alter!

From my experience as a wedding photographer, I know planning a wedding is not easy. While I’m so grateful to have so many friends in this industry, I’m used to being on the other side of the fence, so I’m sure we have our work cut out for us! The blog posts may not always be pretty, but they’ll definitely be honest and maybe even a little entertaining.

With that being said, our time together this month has been nothing short of unforgettable and I can’t WAIT to see where this road takes us.

Cheers to one heck of a July and one VERY bright future 🙂 sachelsamonephotographypbsaka
