Although Ethan and I have only been reunited for a little more than a week now, so many amazing memories have been made.

We started back in our hometown of Atlanta, Ga.

I hadn’t been back since Kascha and Henry’s engagement session, so catching up with friends, making new ones, spending time with family and watching fireworks over the city for 4th of July was just what I needed.

We then headed north…to good ole’ Charlotte, N.C. Charlotte has always been a special place for us. It’s where Ethan’s college, Johnson C. Smith University, is located, where I first surprised him for his college graduation and where our love truly begin to flourish. So when I found out my sorority’s national conference was going to be there, we immediately added it to our places to stop.

 

Seeing so much pink and green was amazing, as always. But out of ALL the memories we’ve made so far on this trip, July 12, 2014 will forever be among the best.

It was intimate. It was genuine. It was pure perfection…

At Wing Haven Gardens, secretly surrounded by my family and my best friend Tam, Ethan made me the happiest little lady EVER when he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him!!!

It was honestly one of the greatest moments I’ve experienced. I was speechless (BUT OF COURSE I SAID YES!), shocked and truly blown away. And yes, I definitely screamed…and cried. It was filled with so much love and happiness. Ethan is the one who gave me my first kiss. He was the first guy I ever wrote in a journal about and the first guy I ever said ‘I love you’ to. To be a part of his journey and witness him grow from the young boy I met in summer camp as a little girl to my future husband…an amazing man who pursues God fiercely…it’s mind blowing. It’s amazing the blessings God will bestow upon you when you allow Him to lead your life. My goodness!! I’m just SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to spend my forever with him!!

It’s honestly one of the most amazing, yet surreal feelings. Even as I’m sitting here writing this, I can’t believe I have a fiancé. I HAVE A FIANCÉ!! OHHHH MY GOSH!!! I’m so ecstatic to start this new chapter of my life with him and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us. 🙂

Ethan, Tam and my mom will be guest-blogging in the coming weeks to talk more about details of our engagement, but for now, we’re are just enjoying being present in this moment of perfection.
