Let me first start off by I LOVE Beluga Point!!! It is breathtakingly beautiful! Let me continue by saying EMILY. IS. GORGEOUS. So naturally, when you put two beautiful things together, you expect nothing less than a beautiful product. But I gotta say, Emily’s portraits didn’t turn out to be beautiful. They turned out to be MAGNIFICENT.

As I said with her business partner and friend Aurora, when I moved to Anchorage, I was a little worried about finding a team of hair and makeup artists as good as the ones I had in Virginia. I wanted women who weren’t just fellow creatives, but women who had big hearts, incredible souls and women who I genuinely enjoyed being around. When I met Emily and Aurora, my world became so much brighter! Emily loves to laugh, is so incredibly creative and y’all…she has THE BEST HAIR I have EVER SEEN.

Seriously you guys, do you see that color?!? I’m OBSESSED!!!

I love how casually chic Emily is! Her cream turtleneck is perfect for Alaskan winter day!  And the contrast of it against her bold red lip and beautiful blue hair?! EXQUISITE. Beluga Point could not have been a more perfect backdrop for her! Would you believe me if I told you that in the middle of her session, the most random snowfall happened? Seriously, one minute it was clear weather and the next, the SNOW! It didn’t last long, but that’s the funny thing about Alaska’s weather. You’re never know what you’re going to get! Luckily, the heavens opened up and the sweetest golden light shined boldly and brightly on her!

For the next part of her portrait session at Beluga Point, Emily put on this beautiful pink sequined gown pulled from my client closet and the moment she did…MAGIC happened!!

Emily, I absolutely love you! I can’t thank you enough for gracing my lens and being such a joy to be around!! You are absolutely beautiful and I am SO grateful to have you and Aurora on my team helping me to capture Alaska’s beauty!
