My oh my…6 years…where has the time gone?
It seems like just yesterday, we were all skipping the football game to go to the library and attend rush in that SUPER cramped auditorium.
Through these ladies, I have learned even more what it means to be a sister. So many people see sororities as social clubs for the arrogant, stuck up and popular. They hear the word “greek” and automatically think of us prancing around campus in paraphernalia, stepshows and strolling, but we are so much more. We are women of high standards, serving our communities and making a difference with everything we do. Yes, we do have fun (lots of it), but when you take all that away, at the very core, we are a sisterhood.
These women mean so much to me. They inspire me to be better, push me to be greater and remind me that we are something special. We’ve had our disagreements over the years, but looking back on it all, I wouldn’t want to begin my journey in AKA with any other group of women.
We have grown from those sophomores, juniors and seniors who took over Tate wearing our black and carrying our AKA totes to mothers, wives, lawyers, teachers, journalists, doctors and so much more. Although we are missing one of our linesisters this time around, her absence gives us strength we never had, reminding us all that we are our sister’s keeper.
Happy 6th AKAversary to MY linesisters, the HARDEST steppin’ ladies I know, the Dream Team… the greatest group of women I’ve ever known: Eta Xi, Fall 2K7:

Cheers to getting finer with time.
I love you all SO much.
xoxoxoxoxoxoxo,
