the moment I met them, I knew Stephanie and Brandon’s wedding was going to be something REALLY special. As I spent time with them during their engagement session and listened to them tell me stories of the books they love to read and how big of a role Jesus has played in their courtship, two things became abundantly clear:

1. These two were absolutely GORGEOUS together and 2. They have two of the purest hearts I’ve ever encountered.

Flying back to Virginia for their Langley  Air Force Base Wedding, I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I knew one thing I was looking forward to capturing: THEIR FIRST KISS!! Early on in their relationship, they decided together to remain pure for each other and guarded their hearts from temptation in every way…including kissing. Nowadays, that’s something rarely head of, yet it’s so inspirational and heartwarming. I’m not sure who was more excited out of the two of them, but I know that the entire audience, myself included, was all holding their breath for that special moment! We all couldn’t wait!

From the paper flowers (that Stephanie and her bridesmaids created themselves!!) to the lanterns the bridesmaids walked down the aisle with…from the bare feet to the beautiful boutonnieres the groom and his groomsmen wore to the beautiful family sword that was given to Brandon by Stephanie’s father, this wedding was simple, intimate, yet filled with so much love. My second shooter Susan and I had such a blast with this amazing group of people. Seriously, it was such a FUN day filled with so much beauty!! Langley Air Force Base is definitely one of absolute favorite places to shoot at in Hampton Roads!
