I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here!  Here, you'll find inspirational and encouraging stories of me and other broken people like me. We are all jars of clay who have been afflicted in every way, but not crushed...struck down by not destroyed.  Here, you do NOT have the right to remain silent, so as you read, grab your favorite snack and drink and leave a comment...share YOUR story. I can't wait to connect with you in this beautiful safe space.

welcome to my

journal!

I CAN’T DO IT ALL ALONE |WORD OF THE WEEK | LIFE BEHIND MY LENS| SACHEL SAMONE

This week is going to be an exciting and busy one.

I have client meetings scheduled, packages to get out of the door, an amazing styled shoot scheduled, three events to cover and to top it all off, I’m running the Color Me Rad Race this weekend!!

Each week, I look at my planner (yes, I’m old school and still like to write things down!!) and often wonder, “How the HECK am I gonna get ALL this done?” You ever feel like that? Like there is LITERALLY NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY? I feel as if it is impossible for me to get everything that needs to get done….done.

SACHELSAMONEPHOTOGRAPHYAnd you know what? I’m right.

Remember that scripture “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me?” That sentence could not be more true. Which is why my phrase for the week is:

Look, sometimes I feel overwhelmed. I mean REALLY overwhelmed. My brain feels like an internet browser with 34 million tabs open at once. Whether it’s in running my business, conquering daily tasks or spending time with my loved ones, I always have A LOT going on. I’m only one person. I cannot do it all by myself. But with God? With God, all things are possible.

Throughout the new testament, Jesus tells His disciples”With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Now that doesn’t mean everything on my list may get done according to my schedule, and that’s where peace and enjoying the journey comes in. But what it does mean is that simply because I have God on my side, there is no need for me to feel overwhelmed. The only thing I need to do is give it over to Him, trust Him to lead me and take it one day at a time.

As you go through this week, when you begin to feel overwhelmed, remember that you can’t do it all. You just can’t. You are one person. But with God, all things are possible. When you feel weak, remember that God is your strength and power. If you have a dream or goal you want to accomplish and don’t think you can, remember that you can do all things through Christ.

Don’t let the feeling of being overwhelmed get you down. Don’t let the fear and doubt tell you that you can’t. When you look at week this week, don’t feel like it’s impossible to get it all done. What’s meant to get done, WILL get done.

So take a breath, relax, give it over to God and watch Him work.

After all…God is pretty awesome at doing the impossible. 🙂
