it’s their confidence. Maybe it’s the peace they seem to have. Perhaps it’s the sound of their laugh that comes from their gut, the shimmers of gray in their hair, the stories they tell or the wisdom they share.

Whatever it is, I love it. I crave it. I desire to be in its presence.

I love capturing ladies of all walks of life. But I gotta say, photographing a seasoned lady offers me an experience unparalleled.

Seasoned ladies have such a grace about them. They celebrate their mistakes. They…laugh without worry because they know they’ve survived the storms of their youth. Each time I photograph her, I end up in tears because although I’m serving them, the wisdom they share with me adds fuel to the fire burning within me. Who they were then speaks to who they are now. During our sessions, their testimonies encourage me in ways only a seasoned lady can encourage me. In their eyes I see the strength they have. In the tone of their voices, I hear the struggles they’ve overcome. Their faith roars just as loud as the click of my shutter and in that moment I am changed.

A Seasoned Lady will forever be my favorite lady to capture. Trends come and go, but she is one that will NEVER go out of style.
