Today is

a pretty special Wedding Wednesday post. Why? Because I felt the need to talk directly to my groom!! Over the past few months, I’ve blogged a lot about my bridesmaids, choosing vendors and how to stay organized, but the truth is, I wouldn’t be nearly as calm as I am right now if it wasn’t for the fact that Ethan is by my side every step of the way. We’re experiencing this adventure…this whole new chapter in our lives together and I wanted to take a moment to simply let him know he is very much appreciated.

So Ethan my love, this post is especially for you. 🙂

How do I begin to put this adventure to words? Truth is, I’m not sure I can, but I’ve been sitting here for hours and I’m determined to get this out.

Simply put, you are….exquisite. Since embarking on this journey, we’ve witnessed the very best of each other and yea, some pretty awful sides of each other too. We’ve argued about things that in hindsight, don’t even matter and stood up to each other when it mattered the most.  This rollercoaster ride has taken us around some SERIOUS curves, a lot of really high peaks and even lower valleys. Between all of the decisions that have to be made and us learning the art of compromise, sometimes all of this gets a little crazy, but when I begin to feel overwhelmed, I know that you have my back just as much as I have yours and that? That counts for something and it brings me more peace than you will ever know.

 

I can only imagine how many times you may have felt a little overwhelmed yourself over these past few months. So many changes have happened, but you have adjusted and handled everything with such strength and grace. That’s such a testament to who you are as a human being, making me love you more and more each day.

So before I get too long-winded and extra emotional…Thank you. Thank you for being you. Thank you for not letting me go off the deep end throughout all of this. Thank you for always seeing the bigger picture during the times where I couldn’t see past the tip of my nose. Thank you for reminding me to take the time to just be present and celebrate where we are in this moment. Thank you for being the best listener and partner-in-fun a girl could have. Thank you for going on this wild and crazy ride with me. You really are my purest prayer answered.

Cheers to you…cheers to us…cheers to this next chapter. I seriously CAN.NOT.WAIT.
