HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

2014 is a thing of the past and 2015 is full of possibilities!!

When I think about what 2015 will bring, I can’t help but become excited. So many things I want to accomplish, so many major life changes coming my way..my head is spinning just thinking about it all and I can’t WAIT to see what is to come. To help guide me, this year I’ve chosen a scripture to keep at the forefront of my mind:

Acts 20:24

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

I chose this scripture because of the power in its simplicity.

Do I have big dreams for myself this year?

You bet I do. I’m constantly setting goals for myself and surround myself with people who constantly push me to reach them. But, at the end of the day, while setting goals for myself is great, the thing that matters the most to me this year isn’t reaching MY goals. It’s following His direction and to live out the life He has planned for me.

I’m not looking to become the best photographer in the world. I’m not trying to be the richest woman. My number one goal for this year is to share the love of Jesus with every person I come into contact with while doing what I love. I hope to give myself and my business away to Him more so that He may use me. As we go throughout the year, it’s so easy to get wrapped up in what we have going on, that sometimes the most simple thing that serves as the foundation for everything else can be lost in the details. In every session, at every event…with every client meeting and with every move I make this year, I pray the light within me shines so bright that people around me can’t help but smile. I hope that we all live in the sunshine and make this year the best year YET!!!
