This past weekend, I ran in one of my FAVORITE 5Ks EVER: The Color Me Rad 5K!
This was my second time running in the race and OH EM GEE, did I have fun! Running a little over 3 miles (which trust me, is NOT as bad as it sounds), you literally run and along the route, you are color bombed with various colors, causing you to end up looking like a walking pack of Skittles.
At the end of the race, everyone gathers around, throws color and has fun dancing to the music! It’s such a family fun event, I just COULDN’T miss out on it!
The Color Run is basically a run that makes running FUN. It’s a way to stay encourage fitness, a healthy lifestyle and having fun. I heard so many stories from people who, through this race, accomplished their goal of running in a 5K. It was so amazing to see the excitement in their faces as they crossed the finish line and celebrated their personal victories. In that moment, I couldn’t think of a sweeter reminder of how it doesn’t matter how quickly you finish the race…as long as you finish.
I can’t wait until my next one.
