A few days ago, I did something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Something I wasn’t sure I had the courage to do. But gosh darn it, I did it!

I GOT PURPLE HAIR!!!

Throughout the years, I’ve cut my hair and added hair, but I’ve never added color before and I have to be honest…I. FREAKIN’. LOVE IT!! Once I decided to go natural, I found my groove and though I got really used to and am totally in love with my curls, I definitely was a little bored. So, I did something different and y’all I am SO in love! Since turning 30, I’ve had this craving to step even further outside of my box, speak up more, let go of my fear and do things I want to do without worrying about what others think.

This hair is so fun and in some weird way, has put a pep back in my step. As a new mom, it’s so easy to get lost and see myself only as J’Aiden’s mom and Ethan’s wife, but this new color is for me. It’s given me a new level of confidence and with it, I feel like…me. The me that loves to take chances, get messy and make mistakes.

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Something so crazy that even the thought of doing it stops you in your tracks? Maybe it’s changing your hair color. Maybe it’s starting that business you’ve been dreaming about. Whatever it is, that thing that is tugging at you to do…do it. Don’t let life pass you by because fear has your paralyzed. You’re better than that. You DESERVE better than that.

Purple is the color of royalty and in this season of my life, I feel like I’m becoming queen I was born to be. I feel like I’m really coming into my own.

I’m excited to see what 2018 brings me…and my new purple hair. 🙂
