I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here! Here, you'll find inspirational and encouraging stories of me and other broken people like me. We are all jars of clay who have been afflicted in every way, but not crushed...struck down by not destroyed. Here, you do NOT have the right to remain silent, so as you read, grab your favorite snack and drink and leave a comment...share YOUR story. I can't wait to connect with you in this beautiful safe space.
has been gracing my lens with her presence for the past month and I must say that I’m convinced each time I photograph Alexis, this incredible Detroit, Michigan beauty, my camera falls more and more in love with her!!! Seriously, this is one STUNNING woman! But it’s not just her outward appearance that makes her beautiful. As her and I have conversations about life as military spouses, church, dreams, goals, hobbies and of course wine, I learn more and more what her husband Brian has known for years now: she has the kind of spirit that can change the world 🙂 Her Chicago portraits are definitely among some of my favorites!
She has one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen. Her smile literally LIGHTS UP any room she’s in and I admire the strength she possesses. In the short time I’ve known her, we’ve bonded so quickly. You’d swear we’ve known each other for a lifetime! I feel like I can talk to her about anything and her positive spirit will immediately uplift me. I guess that’s why people love her so much and just WANT to be around her! She handles everything that comes her way with such grace and has so much joy! I could literally go on and on about why I adore this woman, but I’ll let her images do the talking for me!!
Lexi, you have quickly become a sister to me! I absolutely LOVE you!! Thank you so much for entrusting me to photograph your grace, beauty and love.
