MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Let me first start off by saying I LOVE BIRTHDAYS!!! Besides my birthday (because yes my birthday is recognized holiday), Jesus’ birthday is one of my ALL time favorites to celebrate.

Why you may ask?

Because it allows me to celebrate, a little harder, the birth of the man who has changed my life like no other.

When I was a little girl, I accepted Jesus into my heart. I believed in my heart and confessed with my mouth that He died for my sins, rose again and is now sitting in Heaven. Had this man not been born and did all the things He did for me….well…I don’t know where I’d be.

I am by no means a perfect person. I fall all the time and fail more times than I am willing to admit. But because He was born and died for my sins, I am able to experience a grace and mercy that no one else can give me and special kind of love that I, quite honestly, don’t deserve. 

Yes, this holiday allows me to spend time with the ones I love and participate in traditions such as baking cookies, listening to Christmas music (seriously…Boyz II Men Christmas Interpretations?? MUST HAVE!!) and watching Christmas movies, but it also allows me the chance to never forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.

 Because of His birth, I’m alive. Because of His birth, I am free.

 So with that, I say,  Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Today, I celebrate you IN MY CHRISTMAS JAMMIES!!!

Let’s all remember that, it’s not about the gifts we give, it’s not about the gifts we receive….it’s about Jesus. He is the reason for the season.
