I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here! Here, you'll find inspirational stories of clients, my journey as a wife and first-time mother and other adventures I have that makes my world go 'round. So please, sit back, grab some coffee ( or my personal favorite, a good ol' fashioned Arnold Palmer!) and enjoy exploring my latest work! Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
by far one of the HARDEST blogs to write! I have SO many favorite images from Brian and Lexi’s wedding day, that when it comes to picking which ones to put on the blog…Y’ALL. The struggle. is. REAL. When it comes to these two, I honestly have no idea where to begin. When I traveled to Chicago to capture this special chapter in Brian and Lexi’s love story, I had no idea I was going laugh, smile and cry SO much! Their families traveled from all over to support and love on them as they committed their lives to each other and to see so many smiling faces….to see these two literally BEAMING with love made me fall in love with them even more!
Everything about photographing their intimate wedding was…unforgettable. Although the number of guests was small, the love felt in the room was ENORMOUS. Their vows to each other were so personal, funny and loving. The entire ceremony was them and in that moment, they reminded me of a few special moments from our own elopement. As a military spouse, I know how hard it can be to plan a wedding with the uncertainty of the military looming over you. You can plan and plan and plan and the military can request your fiance’s service at a moment’s notice. This is why most military couples go the courthouse route!! It reminds you of what’s most important: it isn’t the dress or suit, the amazing DJ or venue. It’s about committing to the one you love more than anyone else in the world. Brian and Lexi’s ceremony was so beautiful and capturing their courthouse wedding not only resonated with me for personal reasons, but it represents the beauty and simplicity of military couples all over the world!!
At the end of the ceremony, we made our way to Navy Pier to shoot THE most EPIC portraits I’ve shot to date! I am so overjoyed for them because after years of dating long-distance and trips back and forth to each other, they are FINALLY married and starting a whole new chapter in their life!!!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Level!!! I’m so honored to have captured you two and I just LOVE you guys!! Welcome to married life!!!!
** A special thanks to Phillip’s Flowers & Gifts for Lexi’s GORGEOUS bouquet!!
