I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here!  Here, you'll find inspirational and encouraging stories of me and other broken people like me. We are all jars of clay who have been afflicted in every way, but not crushed...struck down by not destroyed.  Here, you do NOT have the right to remain silent, so as you read, grab your favorite snack and drink and leave a comment...share YOUR story. I can't wait to connect with you in this beautiful safe space.

welcome to my

journal!

ZAE + TRINSON |A COLORFUL ANCHORAGE, ALASKA LOVE SESSION

Putting together

this post is such a joy for me. As someone who is still getting the hang of this military spouse thing, I have quickly learned that it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been around the military…until you are a military spouse, you have NO idea what you’re getting yourself into. This world is not for the faint of heart. As a matter of fact, it’s for those whose faith is strong and whose love is unbreakable. As I move around from place to place, I have found such value in surrounding myself with positive, uplifting people. Quite honestly, I know it’s not me. I’m 1000% positive that God himself always has a couple of people waiting for me wherever I go…a group of very special individuals who will impact me in ways they will never know. Insert the Camerons.

I’ve only known Zae for a short time, but I distinctly remember my very first thought the first time I met her: “Dang. She is REALLY stunning.” As I begin to talk to her more and more, I soon learned that her spirit is just as beautiful as her outward appearance. She is a woman of God, very genuine, super family oriented and along with her husband Trinson, such a breath of fresh air. With everything you see in the military culture…all the crazy stories you hear about, they are living proof that with God as your center, you can’t fail.

After 13 years together, 10 years of marriage and children, I must say that having the Camerons in front of my lens was SO much fun! They way he makes her smile (and what a beautiful smile she has!!) and the love she has for her children…totally made my heart melt!! I’m pretty sure we laughed and talked during the entire session. Anchorage, Alaska seriously has taken my breath away! There is NO place on earth like it! It has such a beautiful backdrop!! I absolutely LOVE my new home!!
