I've been keeping journals since I was in the 3rd grade and I'm so glad to share some of my most intimate life moments with you here!  Here, you'll find inspirational and encouraging stories of me and other broken people like me. We are all jars of clay who have been afflicted in every way, but not crushed...struck down by not destroyed.  Here, you do NOT have the right to remain silent, so as you read, grab your favorite snack and drink and leave a comment...share YOUR story. I can't wait to connect with you in this beautiful safe space.

welcome to my

journal!

GO BIG OR GO HOME | WORD OF THE WEEK | SACHEL SAMONE | LOVE & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

You can’t be a wimp and succeed.

When I heard this in church yesterday, I literally just….paused. I didn’t know what to make of it. But when I got home yesterday evening and when I woke up early this morning, I felt motivated to run faster , push harder and…

When I was little, I was going to be the next Oprah Winfrey and you couldn’t tell me anything different. I was going to have my own show, own a network, give away cars, have tons of well-known friends and change countless lives. In theory, it sounds pretty cool. But as I’ve gotten older and some of my dreams have changed, I wonder:

Am I dreaming big enough?

When it comes to my life and business, I have SOOOOOO many dreams. I have so many things that I want to accomplish. But if I sit alone and just be with my thoughts, am I dreaming big enough? Am I really allowing myself to go as high as I may want to go or am on some subconscious level limiting my dreams because I want to be realistic on what I can accomplish and keep my head “out of the clouds?”

Maybe it’s just me, but in the clouds is exactly where I want my head to be. I don’t want to limit my dreams to something SLIGHTLY big because realistically the goal seems attainable. NO! If I, you…me…we all know we’re eventually going to leave this earth one day, why not leave it completely empty? Day in and day out, we get up in the morning, go out into the world, risk our lives (because let’s face it: the world isn’t a safe place and we really can die at any moment), come back home, go to sleep, get back up and do it all again the next day.  Sometimes, we’re working towards our dreams. Other times, not so much. Either way it goes, I want more. I deserve more.

I want my dreams to be bigger than ever before and this week, I encourage us all to GO BIG OR GO HOME. Just because we may have settled once or twice before in our lives, doesn’t mean we have to spend the rest of our lives settling. If you’re going to dream, DREAM BIG. Seriously, what since does it make to dream small?!?

I’m often told that if my dreams don’t scare me, they aren’t big enough.

It’s time to elevate our minds. It’s time to elevate our lives. Courage is doing what you are afraid to do and there can be no courage unless you are scared.

My dear friends….The time has come for both you and me.

It’s time to get scared.
